Fatih Belediyeshi
The name Fatih means conqueror and comes from Fatih Sultan Mehmed, the Ottoman sultan who took Istanbul from the Byzantine Empire in 1543. Belediyeshi just means district. Fatih Belediyeshi coincides roughly with the boundary of Constantinople, as Istanbul was called by the Byzantines. It's the historical centre of the city, with the oldest buildings, like the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

Der Name Fatih heißt Eroberer, und kommt von Fatih Sultan Mehmed, der osmanisch Sultan, der im 1543 Istanbul aus dem byzantinisch Reich übergenommen hat. Belediyeshi heißt einfach Gemarkung. Fatih Belediyeshi stimmt überein etwa mit der historische Abgrenzung des Konstantinopels. Es ist das historisches Stadtzentrum, mit die älteste Gebäude, wie die Hagia Sophia und die Blaue Moschee.
