Albayzín (al-buy-thin) is an ancient Granada neighbourhood dating from the Arabic era in Spain, about a thousand years ago. It ascends a hill opposite the other main Moorish contribution to the city, la Alhambra, a giant fortress/palace, which we visited and of course I photographed.

The base of the neighbourhood is this river valley between la Alhambra and the opposite hill of el Albayzín.
City bus. This road is too old and tiny to have sidewalks or carry full-size vehicles.
This church actually only has one tower, so you're not missing anything on the left.
Looking up at one of the towers of la Alhambra.
Beautiful entrances.
Steep, narrow streets.
Note the three kings climbing the chimney on the right. In Spain, they bring the presents, not Santa Claus, who originated in northern Europe.
